The 2024 1 Kilo Reverse Proof Mexican Silver Libertad continues the proud tradition of Mexico’s most iconic silver bullion series. The Libertad line offers collectors multiple finishes and sizes, with the 1 Kilo coin standing as the largest and most impressive silver issue in the series.

This example is presented in its original mint capsule, which shows minor scratches and slight deformation, along with the original display box and Certificate of Authenticity. The coin itself remains a stunning reverse proof specimen, featuring mirrored design elements contrasted against beautifully frosted background fields.

Obverse Design

The obverse showcases Mexico’s beloved Winged Victory, also known as the Angel of Independence. She stands before the twin volcanic peaks of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl, as seen from Mexico City. Her image is inspired by the statue atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column, symbolizing freedom and national pride.

Reverse Design

The reverse features the modern Mexican coat of arms at the center — a golden eagle perched on a cactus while grasping a serpent. Surrounding this central emblem are ten historic versions of the national seal, representing Mexico’s rich heritage and evolution.

The Mexican Mint, established in 1535, is the oldest mint in the Americas and operates under the authority of Banco de México. Its Libertad series is globally respected for its limited mintages, exceptional craftsmanship, and timeless design.

This 2024 1 Kilo Reverse Proof Libertad is an impressive addition to any advanced silver collection, especially with its complete original packaging and COA.
